The ballistic ellipsoid Please, see the last post for more details on this! For a given initial speed, the highest points of all parabolic trajectories form an ellipse. This is an extension to 3 dimensions of a previous post. I rendered this for the fine folks at reddit, but I figured I could post it here as well. Had to shrink it a bit due to the file size.
